Cedar Campsite

A one-of-a-kind adventure in Kinghurst Forest

The “Cedar” campsite is open to the sky, located in the middle of a meadow and surrounded by dense cedars, close to the ponds. The private spot sleeps up to four and features a 10×10’ tent platform, an outdoor kitchen, picnic table, solar light, potable water, a small portable propane BBQ, fire ring and an outdoor composting toilet shed. Bring your friends and spend time birdwatching, playing music, making art, canoeing on the ponds and exploring the forest.

Two clear ponds are a 2-minute walk away from the campsite and are great for swimming during the summer months. Access to the ponds is shared with our other guests staying at our “Cedar Campsite” and “Forest Loft”. A couple or a group of good friends can stay comfortably here with an ample supply of fresh water and crackling firewood harvested on the property.

We ask you to bring your own tents, sleeping bags and camping gear. Pets are welcome, but watch out for porcupines at night!
